In highschool he attracted a Tiktok following from sharing his humorous experiences as an Asian American youth. Through this time, he continued to refine his sound and found that the combination of his talent in social media and music would lead him to draw swaths of followers to his records. Taking inspiration from Rex Orange County, Boy Pablo and Clairo, Rocco captures the teenage adolescent experience through his melancholic yet upbeat tunes.
